A wonderfully unruly little garden has crept onto these A5 journal pages and apparently has no intention of behaving itself. This coordinated collection of 10 printable writing pages combines generous clean white writing space with scratchy hand-drawn flowers, curling stems, peculiar seed heads, tiny buds, wandering petals, bees, snails and occasional mushrooms. Some gardens creep up the edges, others grow along the bottom, flowers lean towards their neighbours, stems wander where they should not and one particularly independent bloom appears to have escaped altogether. Fine black ink linework is interrupted by small washes of faded rose, mustard, dusty teal, soft orange and sage, creating colourful little discoveries without overwhelming the usable writing space. Each page has its own composition while remaining part of the same slightly wonky garden world, making the collection characterful, practical and full of the gentle imperfection and storytelling details of ArtOutrageous.
